Jojo Hedaya is the Executive CEO and one of the co-founders of Unroll.Me, an email organization tool that allows you to unsubscribe from unwanted email subscriptions, separating spam from important content and “rolling up” the most important emails of the day easily for you to locate within your inbox. The idea for this startup came about when Jojo wouldn’t get response from his partner Josh Rosenwald, since he wasn’t able to find his emails in the sea of spam that flooded his inbox. Once the idea clicked for both, they were eager to find the perfect name. It took some time spent on a thesaurus and a couple of name exchanges (email exchanges, that is) later, Unroll.Me was created. Luckily, as Jojo puts it, the startup took off, even when they felt their first version needed much work, it became popular very quickly.
The skills that Jojo Hedaya and his partner have gained from their startup experience has allowed them to learn from trial and error, and taught them to keep on working hard. Although there are many other services that promise to help you get rid of spam emails, what has kept Unroll.Me as the popular choice is their simple and easy way to function. Jojo feels that what has given him the opportunity to become better at his job is that they were always able to maximize their resources and trusting oneself when taking decisions.
